Entry requirements

To apply to train with NTTC, you will be required to hold a UK honours degree from a UK Higher Education Institution – preferably a 2:2 or higher. Applicants to a secondary course must hold a degree in the subject they are applying to train in, or a degree which is close. If you don’t have a degree in the subject you are applying for, you will need an A level at minimum grade B, and will be required to complete a Subject Knowledge Enhancement course. We may contact you to discuss this when you apply. 

You must have a GCSE grade C/4 equivalent in English and mathematics for secondary and in addition a science GCSE grade C/4 for primary.  

We are able to facilitate equivalency testing for successful candidates who do not hold the correct GCSE qualifications.  

As important as your qualifications are, your passion for learning, interest in your subject if secondary, experience of working with young people, your enthusiasm and commitment to teaching are some of the things we look for in applications.
