We are delighted that you are considering training as a teacher, possibly one of the most rewarding and stimulating careers. At NTTC we are passionate about training exceptional teachers and putting them at the heart of our programme. Our aim is to embed excellence through our work with schools, leaders and teachers across the region to provide the highest-quality initial teacher training (ITT), supporting trainees to change the lives of the children they teach.
We have a range of routes to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): a QTS-only route, QTS with a PGCE, which is provided by our partner Bath Spa University, a Post Graduate Teaching Apprenticeship (PGTA), and the Assessment Only route for those who already have extensive teaching experience.
We will provide you with both a high-quality training experience and the support you need to succeed in your training year and beyond. Ofsted’s spring 2026 inspection recognised NTTC’s strong approach to inclusion, personal development and wellbeing; all essential parts of a happy, healthy career in teaching.
