Fees and finance

As a PGTA, you will not need to pay tuition fees; these will be paid on your behalf. You will be paid at a minimum of point 1 on the unqualified teacher pay scale, which is updated every year in the autumn.

PGTA trainees can apply to study for the PGCE; there will be an additional cost of £1100 for this. You can register for the PGCE at any point from your interview to autumn induction week – just let us know.
